DNA Evidence Leads to Exonerations in Mississippi, 30 Years Later

Is it just us, or does it seem that tales of the
wrongfully-accused-getting-released-from-prison are popping up more and
more frequently? The latest involves two men who were serving time in
Mississippi. On Thursday, Phillip Bivens and Bobby Ray Dixon, whoĆ¢€™d
been serving life sentences for murder, were exonerated by a federal
judge. After 30 years in prison, they were suddenly free, having been
cleared by DNA evidence that pointed to another man.
